Nike photograph of Air Max Foamdome IX7255-506, showing its purple molded upper, high black collar and visible Air cushioning.
Nike's exact IX7255-506 product photograph. This Foamdome has a high collar; the Goadome Low Foam shown below is a separate low-cut shoe.

The Air Max Foamdome is the high-collar boot; Goadome Low Foam is the low shoe. Both mix Goadome styling with a Foamposite-inspired look, but the exact products differ in price, size range and shape. Choose between them by checking the code, the collar you want and the size you need. Rugged appearance alone does not answer questions about fit or waterproofing.

What separates these two Nike products?

The clearest difference is the silhouette: Foamdome IX7255-506 extends above the ankle, while Goadome Low Foam IV7693-700 keeps a low collar. Their shared design references do not make one a shorter version of an otherwise identical product.

Nike’s Foamdome launch page describes a combination of Foamposite and Air Max Goadome. The Goadome Low Foam description also references both designs, applied to its low-cut shape.

The Foamdome product record supplies its sizes and specifications. Nike’s current launch nickname is Eggplant, while that product’s colorway field says Electro Purple/Black. The code IX7255-506 keeps the identity clear when a title changes.

What does the $65 difference buy you?

The retail difference is $265 minus $200, or $65, before tax and shipping. The higher-priced product has the Foamdome’s high-collar silhouette. The descriptions do not establish that the extra cost buys better waterproofing, a more comfortable ride or identical cushioning in a taller upper.

Nike names Max Air in both product descriptions. That supports a shared cushioning name, without confirming the same Air-unit dimensions, foam formulation or underfoot feel. We have not worn or tested these pairs.

Both have rubber outsoles, but an outsole photograph is not a test of traction on wet pavement, snow or ice. Choose for the stated product details and your intended use, rather than treating the price difference as a performance ranking.

Which one matches your size and budget?

Start with the exact offered size list and your retail budget. Goadome Low Foam has smaller men’s labels in the checked run, starting at 3.5; Foamdome starts at 6. Neither list confirms that a size remains available when you buy.

A worked size-and-budget check

Suppose you are checking men’s US 5.5 with a $210 retail ceiling, before tax and shipping. Goadome Low Foam lists 5.5 and costs $200. Foamdome does not list 5.5 in this US run and costs $265. The low shoe meets those two planning filters; that does not prove it will fit or be available.

You can reproduce that check in the Nike drop finder with IV7693-700, men’s 5.5 and a $210 maximum. Use the exact code when comparing variants. The tool filters recorded releases, not live inventory or the full Nike catalogue.

If both products offer your size and fit your budget, the remaining choice starts with the high or low collar. Read each exact listing’s fit guidance before buying. A familiar size in another Foamposite or Goadome does not establish how either of these products will fit.

Are they waterproof winter boots?

The two checked US descriptions do not state a waterproof rating. Foamdome’s boot category and Goadome Low Foam’s rugged styling are not enough to establish waterproof construction or suitability for snow and ice.

If staying dry is a requirement, look for an explicit claim on the exact current listing. A rubber outsole, leather upper or high collar is not a substitute for that information. The low shoe also leaves more of the ankle uncovered, which is a visible design difference rather than a measured protection rating.

Where should you check the release details?

Use the separate Foamdome IX7255-506 record and Goadome Low Foam IV7693-700 record for their recorded US schedules, then recheck Nike’s exact current product. A shared design story does not establish the same launch or stock.

Our SNKRS draw guide explains entry mechanics. A release appearing on the website does not itself confirm support in Laced. Check the exact release and size in the app before starting managed entries; Nike charges for the shoes if an entry wins.

Choose Foamdome for its high-collar design if its own size and fit guidance work for you. Choose Goadome Low Foam when you want the low shape and its exact size and price meet your plan. Keep the code with the choice, so a similar name or a different colorway does not change the product you meant to buy.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between Foamdome and Goadome Low Foam?

Air Max Foamdome IX7255-506 is a high-collar boot, while Goadome Low Foam IV7693-700 is a low-cut shoe. Nike's US records checked on 29 October 2026 list them at $265 and $200 respectively. Both use Foamposite-inspired styling, but they are separate products with different offered sizes.

Is Goadome Low Foam cheaper than Foamdome?

The checked US retail price for Goadome Low Foam IV7693-700 is $200, compared with $265 for Air Max Foamdome IX7255-506. That makes the low shoe $65 less before tax and shipping. This compares the exact two products, not every Goadome or Foamdome colorway.

Are Foamdome and Goadome Low Foam waterproof?

Neither exact US product description checked on 29 October 2026 states a waterproof rating. A high collar, molded styling or a lugged rubber sole does not establish waterproof construction. Check the exact product's current specifications if waterproofing is a requirement, rather than treating either pair as certified wet-weather footwear.

Do Foamdome and Goadome Low Foam fit the same?

The checked Nike descriptions do not establish that the two products fit identically. Their men's size labels overlap, but one is a high-collar boot and the other a low shoe. Read each product's own Size Guide and fit guidance; do not transfer a size recommendation from a different Goadome or Foamposite.
