Nike SNKRS
Draw
Also called SNKRS Draw, Nike SNKRS Draw, Draw entry
A Draw is Nike's entry system for a limited SNKRS release. Entries are accepted during a published window, the window closes, and winners are selected at random from everyone who entered. Where you sat in the queue does not matter, and one Nike account gets one entry per release.
In use: The Kobe was a LEO draw: entries began at 10am Eastern, closed about two minutes later, and every result went out once the window had shut.
What a Draw actually is
A Draw is a random selection made after a deadline, not a race to a button. Nike starts taking entries on a SNKRS release, takes every valid entry submitted inside it, closes the window, and then picks winners from that pool. An entry placed one second after the draw went live and one placed one second before it closed are treated identically.
The two kinds on SNKRS
Nike runs two kinds of Draw, and its own launch data names them. A LEO draw takes entries for about two minutes once it goes live and shows no timer, and most US launches, shoes and apparel alike, run this way. A DAN draw shows a timer, usually ten minutes, with the close time published in advance. Both pick winners at random once entries close; the difference is how long you have to be in.
Where people get it wrong
Almost every habit people bring to a Draw was learned on first come, first served releases. Refreshing does nothing. Being on Wi-Fi rather than mobile data does nothing. Opening the app half an hour early does nothing, beyond making sure you do not forget.
The second misreading is the timing of the result. Got ‘Em and Missed ‘Em are both sent after the window closes, not after you enter. A notification that lands ninety seconds later is the Draw closing on schedule, not a judgement on your entry.
The full mechanic, including what you can and cannot control, is set out in how Nike SNKRS draws work.
