SNKRS

Also called Nike SNKRS, SNKRS app, SNKRS platform

SNKRS is Nike's app and website for limited releases. It carries the release calendar, runs Draws, takes entries and orders, and sends the Got 'Em or Missed 'Em result. Nike writes the name in capitals, with no vowels.

In use: The pair was never going to hit a shelf near you, so the only retail route was SNKRS.

What SNKRS is for

SNKRS is where Nike sells the shoes that sell out. It is a separate app from the main Nike shopping app, it keeps its own calendar, and for most limited pairs it is the only place to buy at retail. Your SNKRS sign-in is your Nike account, which is why the card and the shipping address held on that account decide whether a selected entry turns into a parcel.

Two things people get wrong

The spelling is the first. Nike writes the name in capitals with no vowels. Mixed case and spelled-out versions turn up constantly in search boxes and resale listings, and none of them are Nike’s, which is also why they miss Nike’s own help pages.

The second is treating every release as a race. SNKRS launches use a Draw: LEO takes entries for about two minutes without a timer, and DAN uses a published timer. Both select at random. A Shock Drop describes the lack of advance notice; Exclusive Access describes who is invited. Neither label promises a faster entry a better result.

That distinction is the subject of how Nike SNKRS draws work.
