Choose ImpossiblySoft for Nike’s softer knit direction, or PerfectStretch when you want a more tailored look. That is the useful starting point for the 24.7 clothing collection. The next decision is the exact garment. A relaxed crew, drawcord pants and slim chinos can share a collection without sharing the same fit, material blend or price.
How do ImpossiblySoft and PerfectStretch differ?
The main distinction is the fabric direction. In its original 24.7 announcement, Nike describes ImpossiblySoft as a spacer knit and PerfectStretch as a tailored fabric. Both have four-way stretch, but the fabric names alone do not determine a garment’s cut.
| Buying question | ImpossiblySoft | PerfectStretch |
|---|---|---|
| Original fabric description | Soft spacer knit | Tailored four-way stretch fabric |
| Useful starting choice | Knit tops and pants with a relaxed clothing direction | Chinos and other pieces with a more polished appearance |
| Exact pants checked here | HQ6970-010 men’s Dri-FIT pants | HQ6918-097 men’s Dri-FIT slim chinos |
| Fit of those exact pants | Standard fit; Nike recommends sizing down | Slim fit; no size-down recommendation in the checked listing |
| Waist and closure | Elastic waistband and internal drawcord | Elastic waistband, belt loops, zip front and hook-and-bar closure |
| Size selection | Letter labels, including regular and Tall options | Waist-and-length combinations |
The exact ImpossiblySoft pants list a polyester, modal, cotton and spandex body blend. The exact chinos list a polyester body with a separate pocket-bag blend. Neither composition should be copied onto every item in its fabric family.
The ImpossiblySoft crew pictured above is another option, with a double-knit construction, raglan sleeves and a loose fit. Its cut is a separate choice from the standard-fit pants.

Which fit and size labels should you compare?
Use each garment’s own fit description and measurements. Loose, standard and slim describe different cuts, even within 24.7. A letter size in drawcord pants is not the same selection system as a chino’s waist-and-length label.
Nike’s HQ6970-010 ImpossiblySoft pants are standard fit with an elastic waistband and internal drawcord. Their checked labels include regular and Tall options. The PerfectStretch chinos instead offer waist-and-length combinations, including 32/30, 32/32 and 32/34.
Nike recommends sizing down for the exact ImpossiblySoft crew and pants checked here. The chino listing describes a slim cut without the same instruction. Follow the current product’s guidance instead of turning two product-specific notes into a rule for the collection.
A practical wardrobe choice
Suppose you want a pair for a setting where you prefer a belt, a zip front and a slim trouser shape. Start with the checked PerfectStretch chino. If you want a drawcord waist and a knit-pant shape, start with the checked ImpossiblySoft pants. Then compare your measurements with that product’s Size Guide.
This recommendation follows the listed features. We have not worn or tested these garments, and we are not ranking their softness or all-day comfort from personal experience.
How much do the checked pieces cost?
Prices belong to an exact product and colorway. Our 2 November 2026 Nike US checks returned the following listed prices. A reduction on one color does not establish a collection-wide sale.
| Exact Nike US garment | Colorway | Price observed |
|---|---|---|
| ImpossiblySoft crew HQ6964-325 | Cargo Khaki/Sequoia | $67.97 |
| PerfectStretch slim chinos HQ6918-097 | Grey Fog/Light Smoke Grey | $80.97 |
| ImpossiblySoft pants HQ6970-010 | Black/Dark Smoke Grey | $115 |
The crew listing, chino listing and pants listing are the places to recheck your chosen size and current price. A listed size range is not a stock guarantee.
Is this the same launch as the Nike 24.7 boot?
The clothes and footwear are separate products. Nike announced the apparel line on 23 January 2025, with global Nike.com availability from 25 January and selected retail locations from 30 January. Later footwear coverage does not make that original clothing launch new again.
Our 24.7 boot-versus-shoe guide separates the footwear shapes, exact codes and market checks. The style-code guide explains the identity check for both shoes and clothing. Fabric advice from a crew or pair of chinos does not establish shoe-sizing guidance.
The release calendar tracks recorded US SNKRS listings, rather than the entire Nike clothing catalogue. Read our SNKRS draw guide if your exact product has that release route. An ordinary retail listing is a separate buying task.
What should you buy first?
Pick the garment and cut you need, then the fabric family. Choose the checked chinos for their tailored shape and trouser closure, or the checked ImpossiblySoft pieces for their knit construction and corresponding cut. Check the exact code, size guidance and current local price before completing the choice.
Questions people ask
What is the difference between Nike ImpossiblySoft and PerfectStretch?
Nike introduced ImpossiblySoft as a soft spacer-knit fabric and PerfectStretch as a tailored fabric, both with four-way stretch. The distinction helps you choose a clothing direction, but each exact garment has its own cut, composition and features. Compare the product listings rather than treating either name as a universal specification.
Is Nike 24.7 a new clothing collection?
Nike announced the 24.7 apparel collection on 23 January 2025, with global Nike.com availability from 25 January. Later garment colors or 24.7 footwear do not reset that original collection launch. Check the exact new item when a post describes a fresh release.
Does all Nike 24.7 clothing fit large?
No collection-wide fit recommendation is established by the products checked here. Nike advises sizing down for the exact ImpossiblySoft crew HQ6964-325 and pants HQ6970-010. The checked PerfectStretch chino HQ6918-097 instead has a slim-fit description without that size-down instruction. Follow each exact listing.
Are Nike 24.7 clothes made from the same fabric as the shoes?
The apparel fabric names do not describe the 24.7 footwear uppers. Nike lists separate materials and construction for its boot and low shoe. Use the complete garment or footwear name and product code instead of transferring clothing claims to shoes that share the 24.7 label.
