Nike Mind 001 vs 002 vs Flyknit: which should you choose?

Nike Mind 001 is the slip-on mule; Mind 002 is the lace-up sneaker. Mind 002 Flyknit is a version of that sneaker with a different upper and its own code. Choose the shape you want first, then compare the exact listing. A shared Mind name does not tell you the current price, size guidance or release route of every colorway.

How are Mind 001, 002 and 002 Flyknit different?

The main choice is between a mule and a sneaker. Within the 002 sneaker, the Flyknit version changes the upper. Nike presents all three through the Mind platform, but their names are not interchangeable product identifiers.

Nike identifies this model photograph as Mind 001 in its original announcement gallery. It shows the mule’s shape, without establishing a current colorway code, price or stock.

What changes in the Flyknit version?

The Flyknit version has its own upper specification and style code. The black and anthracite example is IR2176-002, while our standard grey 002 example is HQ4308-003.

Nike’s exact Flyknit product description specifies a lightweight, sock-like upper, soft foam and rubber pods near the toe and heel. The standard 002 product instead describes its engineered perforations and molded foam heel and tongue.

Both sit within the 002 sneaker family. The Flyknit name alone does not establish that it fits wider, lasts longer or improves the wearer’s performance.

Keep the whole product name with the code

Suppose you saved a screenshot of the black Flyknit pair but a shop result shows a grey standard 002. Checking only “Mind 002” would miss the difference. Compare the complete code, colorway and product photographs before selecting a size.

How much do these versions cost?

The checked US standard HQ4308-003 and Flyknit IR2176-002 examples both list at $145. That is a comparison of two specific Nike listings checked on 2 November 2026.

Use the standard product source and Flyknit source to recheck their current terms. Read the selected 001 colorway’s own Nike listing for its current price and size options. One model’s recorded price does not set the price of every colorway.

If price is your deciding factor, compare products in the same country and currency. Also check any shipping costs before deciding that two prices are equivalent.

Are these new models or new colorways?

The Mind platform was announced in October 2025 for January 2026 availability. Later 001, 002 or Flyknit releases are separate products with their own dates.

Nike’s original announcement is dated 23 October 2025. It does not establish the launch date or stock of every 2026 colorway. Keep current scheduling attached to the exact product record.

Nike markets the platform around sensory stimulation before and after competition. Treat its focus and sensory language as the manufacturer’s description. Your practical decision is the shape, closure, materials and intended activity you want from the pair.

Keep the product name and code together when you save the listing. That small check is more useful than choosing by model number or a new colorway’s launch date alone.
